Clues
Popcorn Bucket
Clue 1
This looks like a popcorn bucket for the festival, the festival seems quite big, we should look at what's on.
Clue 2
It looks like all of these things listed on the popcorn bucket correlate to the these other documents.
Reveal The Answer
Well number 1 on the list is to purchase merch and collectables. I did see a sheet of collectors cards for the new Detective Where film..
Collectors Cards
Clue 1
This show has so much history, all of these collectors cards seem to represent a different season.
Clue 2
The cards don't seem to be in chronological order.
Clue 3
There seem to be letters hidden within the cards.
Reveal The Answer
Not sure about the nonsence plot of this show but if I organise the cards in order of story, the hidden letters spell out FORTY SEVEN
Handler Rota
Clue 1
This seems to show the rota for the celebrity handlers. each of them have a specific schedule for the day. Maybe we should follow their route on the map.
Clue 2
So they can't go across the river any way other than the crossing points, and they can't cut across the grass. that only really leaves one path each of them can take.
Reveal The Answer
Now I'm getting it! if you draw out their paths on the map, their route spells out 48.
Booking Confirmation
Clue 1
It's strange that Toksvig was adamant about getting these specific seats. Maybe it's part of his \"Artistic vision\"
Clue 2
There is something familiar about that film poster, it looks a lot like the seating map for the screen.
Clue 3
We booked the only disabled seat in the screen, so B1 won't be hard to find.
Reveal The Answer
Yes! if you correlate each letter on the typewriter on the poster to the seating map, the seat bookings spell out D O Z E N P L U S 5.... 12 + 5 = 17
Cosplay Ball Invitation - (Listed on Envelope as Live Q&A Program)
Clue 1
I never paid much attention to how the alien language works, I'm certain the answer is here on this invitation somewhere. We need to find a way to translate these symbols.
Clue 2
Looks like there are other symbols on the back of this invitation at the bottom. They seem to be in the same shape as the text on the top.
Reveal The Answer
If we correspond each letter to a symbol from the text on top we can work out what letter each symbol represents. If we then use that translation on the password we can spell EIGHTY ONE
Script
Clue 1
The actor must have scribbled out her scene partners lines to focus on her own. The script doesn't make sense without the other half. We need to complete the script, lets see where this QR code leads to
Clue 2
Okay so the acting coach is doing vega's lines. We can now complete the script. Now we just need to understand what we need to work out. I suppose there is only one thing left to settle.
Clue 3
We should try and work out the total of the tab. Rememember Vega always leaves a tip.
Reveal The Answer
At the end of the night all that is left to settle is the bill! So if we know vega has one drink before Marina arrives, she orders one to join him, then they order another round of drinks, then a final round with an extra drink for the bartender, that makes 7 total. We know one drink is 10 making the total 70, but never forget the tip adding 30% on top. This leaves a grand total of 91!
Film Sleuths Business Card
Clue 1
If we follow the QR code it takes us to filmsleuths.com - There are a lot of silly ideas on the Film Sleuths website, but that Bollobick segment is an interesting read. And the shape framing the character in those stills does look familiar. Looks like it's for the same production that's on the spec sheet for the control panel.
Clue 2
If we translate the instructions given to Bollobick to our control panel maybe our answer will lie there. If the point of view is from the control panel, surely the image is mirrored.
Reveal The Answer
Of course, if we follow the intructions on the stills and corrospond them to where Bollobick is reaching in comparison to our control panel, we can spell out FOUR + 9! So the answer must be 13.
Film Schedule
Clue 1
Wow! There is so much to see at the festival, no way I can see everything. Maybe I need a guide to tell me what to watch.
Clue 2
This film review zine is pretty handy. Looking at their reviews might give us an understanding of what kind of films to miss.
Clue 3
The zine says it's not worth seeing anything over two-hours, anything dubbed is a big no no and say goodbye to anything pre 60's. lets cross those off on our timetable so we can avoid them.
Reveal The Answer
Well would you look at that. When we cross off all the films in that criteria, we are only left with a few that stand out, and they all form the shape of nineteen on the timetable! 19 must be the answer!
Storyboard
Clue 1
The storyboard seems pretty cool. On the surface of it nothing stands out, maybe we need to frame this in a different way.
Clue 2
Maybe we need to seek out a storyboard consultant for this one to see if we can look at this differently.
Clue 3
Sarah Jenkins seems to know her stuff, the viewfinder in on her business card looks like the same size as the storyboard panels, I wonder what hapens of we line them up.
Reveal The Answer
I see, if we line up the veiwfinder to the storyboard, the little squares frame specific letters in the notes spelling out TWO TIMES BLUE ARROW. If we count the blue arrows in the storyboard there are eighteen, times that by two and you get 36!
Movie Marathon
Clue 1
Something is sticking out about the naming game in particular, maybe the answer lies there.
Clue 2
Toksvig was never great at naming his characters, most of the time he just takes two things, mashes them together and then boom you got yourself a Sci-Fi creature. just like the Turtleopard - a Turtle combined with a Leopard.
Clue 3
Why are there symbols on one letter of each name in this game. I could really use a suggestion right now to work out if they mean anything.
Reveal The Answer
Hang on! We have the creepy Armadillobster (Armadillo x Lobster), the evil Demonkey (Demon x Monkey), the gunslinging Cowboyster (Cowboy x Oyster), the mechanical Robottle (Robot x Bottle) and the friendly Elephanteater (Elephant x Anteater). Only these have the symbols in their answer space over specific letters - R, E, E, T, H. If we look at the symbols on Captain Suggestion in that order the letters spell out THREE.
